questions about your bill

What billing or insurance information will I receive?

After your insurance has paid, we'll provide you with a monthly statement of your account. After three monthly statements if you have not made any payment arrangements or made a payment, your account will be put to in-house collections and you will need to discuss your account with the billing department to make arrangements to resolve the outstanding balance.  All copays are expected at time of service unless you have made other arrangements with someone in billing.

How long will it take to get things settled with the insurance company?

Generally, it takes from 45 to 60 days to obtain payment from an insurance carrier.

I received a notice that my insurance company has paid on my bill -- but I can't understand how they calculated their payment amount. Do you know?

We receive an explanation of benefits (EOB) from your insurance company and post the payment according to how your insurance processed the claim.  We will be glad to answer any questions or explain the processing to you to the best of our ability.  We do encourage all patients to know their benefits.
